William B.⁵ Orner (Jacob⁴, Jacob³, felix², Ulrich¹), born 1815₍₁₄₎ in New Jersey (1860 census) or Pennsylvania (1850 & 1870 censuses);  died 23 August 1870₍₁₄₎ at Martinsville, Morgan, Indiana;  married in New Jersey to Martha A. Hayward (daughter of Matthias Hayward and Elizabeth Anderson) who was born 1815₍₁₄₎ in New Jersey and died 13 March 1889₍₁₄₎ at Martinsville.

He was a master carpenter; later a builder and contractor. They moved to Morgan County by 1842, in which year he worked off his subscription to the new Presbyterian church building as a carpenter_(O). He was the contractor who built the Martinsville High School building in 1867_(O).

His will (Morgan Will Book 1, page018), which was signed 15 August and probated 29 August 1870, mentions wife Martha. They are buried at Hilldale Cemetery at Martinsville.

Benjamin E.⁶ Orner, born 25 March 1838 in New Jersey;  died 07 August 1888;  married 19 November 1861 in Morgan County, Indiana (Book C-D, page 207) to Hannah Hill DeTurk (daughter of Isaac Hoch DeTurk and Lydia Wagner, and sister of Abraham, below) who was born 02 November 1838 in Ruscombmanor, Berks, Pennsylvania and died 12 June 1907 in Nebraska. Laylock who was born about September 1869 in Missouri. [NOTE: However, on the 1898 Tulare County Voter Registration List, he was recorded as William Brickert Orner.] He was a farmer. 1900 Census: William B. Francis (his first marriage)(son of Edward J. and Margaret Francis) who was born about August 1863 in [Iroquois County?], Illinois. She was a schoolteacher. He, in partnership with his brother Wilber Loren Portwood, owned a chain of department stores in southern Nebraska. He served as President of the Nuckolls County Fair Association and the Nuckolls County Chamber of Commerce. Craig (daughter of William H. and Isabel Craig) who was born about 1843 in Indiana;  married second 27 January 1876 in Morgan County (Book C-1, page 379) to Kate E. Watkins who was born 05 July 1844₍₁₄₎ in New York and died 07 March 1933₍₁₄₎ at Martinsville. He was a carpenter and builder. Civil War service: Sergeant in Company C, 33^rd Indiana Infantry Regiment. He received an invalid pension, application filed 08 May 1891 in Oklahoma Territory. He served as an Oklahoma State Representative. Anna L.⁷ Orner, born about March 1873;  married 1891 in Logan County, Oklahoma (Book 1, page 63) to William J. Short who was born about May 1866 in West Virginia and apparently died before the 1920 census. He was a farmer. 1900 Census: William J. Theodore B.⁶ Orner, born about 1842 in Indiana;  died May 1880 at Martinsville, Morgan, Indiana;  probably unmarried. He was a carpenter. Civil War service: Company H, 148^th Indiana Infantry Regiment. He was granted an invalid pension, application filed 21 March 1880 (according to his pension index card at the National Archives, but I haven’t seen the actual pension file). [NOTE: However, if the filing date and the above death date are both correct, that doesn’t appear to leave enough time for his pension application to be approved.] 1850 Census: (with parents); and Theodore Ornor (with grandfather Matthas Hayward), page 090, visit 1080/1080, Jefferson, Morgan, Indiana. 1870 Census: Theodore Orner (with parents). He is buried at Hilldale Cemetery at Martinsville.

Katherine Rosemond⁶ Orner, born 01 April 1844 in Indiana₍₃₆₎;  died 06 March 1940 in Los Angeles County, California₍₃₆₎;  married (License issued 16 December) 1867 in Morgan County, Indiana (Book C-E, page 115) to Thomas Allen Sloan (son of John Harvey Sloan and America White Shackleford) who was born 03 October 1842 in Franklin, Johnson, Indiana and died 25 October 1873 at Martinsville, Morgan, Indiana. He was a druggist. 1870 Census: Thomas Sloan, page 531, visit 076/077, Martinsville town, Morgan, Indiana [NOTE: daughter Edna is recorded out of sequence further down the page]. 1880 Census: Kate R. Sloan (widow, with mother). 1910 Census: Kate R. Sloan (with son-in-law Otis G. Wilson). 1920 Census: Katherine Sloan (with son-in-law Otis G. Wilson). Only child, born in Indiana:
